An algiz supports a farmhouse.
Algiz projects over windrows of hay.
The runes are such primal things, that it is no surprise when they emerge from the folk-memory and manifest in unintentional places. The architect most likely did not know what algiz is, but the knowledge of it’s supporting characteristics and applications for construction had been passed down through the centuries from someone who -did- know the nature of algiz. Symbols such as this still have profound power over those who don’t quite recognize them, as if somewhere in their unconscious memory the ur-knowledge is there, screaming to be reawakened.
